In a local sustainable development in Norway there is a common understanding that a community is closely connected and empowering to be sustainable. With this background Nohrsam represents a holistic approach of methods in line with the principles of local democracy, equality and empowered local communities.
Within the framework of knowledge-based community planning Nohrsam will give particular attention to the future generation and the adolescents who are significant contributors in the planning as community resources and development interests. Going beyond the hearing and public scrutiny in the community planning, is decisive to reach this group.
The guiding will be given based on the understanding of a planning with attention to:
-the promotion of sustainable development in the best interest of the citizen, the society and future generations.
- the applicability of the planning principle of "Universal design", ensuring processes and results as inclusive
